Dutchies leaving scars on the scoreboard!

In the middle of the competition period the scoreboard has been drastically changed by a group of durch speedsurfers having fun on Karpathos. Twan Verseput, Eric Groot van Ederen, Marco Lambers, Johan Huitema and Wouter van Hilst have pushed hard and a lot of great results have been achieved. With a lot of personal spot records, sport records and even all-time bests at the Odyssey of Speed the ranking is now dominated by these group!

Twan Verseput, two-times champion of the Odyssey of Speed, delivered remarkable results and is leading in four out of our five categories.

Also on greek main land some nice results have been scored again, and quite a number off new entries are showing up. This is very much appreciated, as having fun on the water and pushing each other is the top priority of our event!

Currently some of the fastest dutch speed sailors are enjoying typical Karpathos conditions in ‘Devils Bay’. Among them are again Twan Verseput and Eric Groot van Ederen, who are competing every year in the Odyssey of Speed.

Obviously this is creating a very competitive environment and they are pushing each other every day. So some incredible results have been already scored.

Twan scored two all-time bests for the Odyssey of Speed: 76,00 km/h (41.04 knots) for 5 x10 sec average, and 51,76 km/h (27,95 knots) for Alpha@500!!

Already in the Meltemi Season again!

Apologizing for this late first ranking while already in the meltemi season.

Plenty of sessions has been uploaded already and a lot of new names appear this year on our list. The Odyssey of Speed continues with the same rules in its 11th year.

Eric Groot van Ederen is this year quite early on Karpathos and took the lead already in two categories. Intelligence information tells us some more fast Dutch sailors will arrive soon. Also on greek main land some nice results have been scored, in particular by Minos and Alex. Alex is leading in three out of our five categories. So there is now a triple lead by the greek speed elite – The battle is on!
