After Minos Efstathiadis has won the Odyssey of Speed three times our old trophy remains with him. Well deserved!
The new trophy has been designed and built in cooperation by Christian Stemmer and Marcus Lappe. A combination from wood (oak and ash-tree) and acrylic glass gives it a very special appearance. Really impressive and awesome!
As every year Eric Groot van Ederen from the Netherlands is participating in the Odyssey fo Speed. Last year he managed to become 2nd Overall and obviously this year he is going for more. Just two days on Karpathos he is screwing up the score board by smashing three top scores (max. avg, 2sec max and 500m) As usual with 7.0 sail … in 40 knots … Max Speed 42.5 Knots!
Karpathos is in the game now! Meltemi hit the famous rock with full strength and Johnny Tuijn from the Netherlands was flying. During his stay on the island he continuously became faster until he managed to score two best results for max avg. and 1 hour!
With also good scores in the other categories Johnny is now 2nd overall, just 3 points behind Alex Petikidis. Philip Adamidis now in third position.
The event is entering now the decisive phase. Results are coming in every day and ranking will be updated now more regularly. Stay tuned!
Meltemi is ‘ON’ and hitting Greece with its famous power and consistency. As a consequence we saw in June a lot of good results and its time for another score board.
Among the top riders Alex Petikidis is really on fire and now leading in four out of five categories; so is having now a solid lead in front of Philip Adamidis and closely followed Konstantinos Papandrikopolous.
