At the famous spot in the Devils Bay in Karpathos, where several times the world championship in speed windsurfing took place, the new windsurfing station called Meltemi Windsurfing Karpathos is situated.
On the ground of the former Pro Center of Chris Schill the entire windsurf station has been rebuilt. Nice and spacious storage area are combined with chill out areas offering the nice view over the bay and the action on the water.
The station is equipped with 150 boards, from Fanatic and Tabou at various sizes and 300 sails ranging from 3.0 to 7.2 sqm. The sails are either from Gaastra (Manic HD, Matrix) or Duotone (Super Hero, Super Session). More details about the equipment can be found under the link.
Safety is at highest priority and a bay watch tower, which is permanently serviced and a station-owned rescue board are ensuring this.
For people, who are bringing their own equipment, a dedicated storage area exists offering space for boards and rigged sails. Locker and change rooms together with a number of showers are completing the perfect infrastructure.
For refreshments a small snack bar is offering cold drinks and little snacks.
All-in-all the perfect place for anyone’s windsurfing holidays at all skill levels.
